The new Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion update boasts a slew of new features, ranging from new weapons and locales to new Monsters for players to slay. There are also several new features and gameplay mechanics.
Among these are Buddy Recon Points, which let players Fast Travel to various parts of a map, including non-campsite locations. There are multiple Buddy Recon Points in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. This guide will explain how they work and how to find them.
MHR Sunbreak - How To Find All Buddy Recon Points
The Buddy Recon system is unlocked after completing two Master Rank quests. Once unlocked, you can place a Buddy at any location on the map to act as a Recon Point. Depending on the location and distance traveled, using the Recon Point will cost you Kamura Points.

There are two Recon Points per map, and you can find the locations of each of them in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak indicated below. Notably, you can only use these Recon Points once per hunt.
Jungle Map
The first Jungle Recon Point is found near the southern part of Area 7, situated on top of a tall cliff. The second location is on top of a curved hill between Areas 2 and 9. Finally, the subcamp location is between Areas 7 and 8; to find it, navigate toward the northern beach, and look for a line of Spiribug.
Citadel Map
You can find the first Citadel Recon Point on the left side of the hill between Areas 5 and 10. The second Recon Point is perhaps the hardest to locate, near the highest peaks of the northwestern part of the map between Areas 6 and 8. Finally, you can find the subcamp location in the northeastern part of the Citadel map.
Shrine Ruins
The first Shrine Ruins Recon Point is located in a small shrine at the highest point of Area 5; the second is located at the northwestern part of the map, on a ledge near Area 11.
Frost Island
The first Frost Island Recon Point is situated between Areas 5 and 7 near a narrow bridge on top of a small boulder. The second Recon Point is located near a small opening on top of the mountain peak between Areas 9 and 12.
Sandy Plains
The first Sandy Plains Recon Point is located on top of a hill between Areas 5 and 6. The second one is located in Area 12 and requires you to jump over a gap to reach it.
Flood Forest
The Flood Forest Recon Point is located between Areas 2 and 5, situated on the edge of the pyramid. The second one is on top of the northwest pyramid between Areas 10 and 13. The best way to get there is via the shortcut above the main camp using a Wirebug.
Lava Caverns
The first Lava Caverns Recon Point is located underground near a hidden fishing spot in the northern part of Areas 7 and 10. The second point is located in the Lava Region between Areas 12 and 13.
