Capcom's newest Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion introduced several content additions and features, including new Monster categories and weapons. However, as Hunters approach the endgame in this MMORPG, many eagerly search for the best materials to enhance their weapons and armor.
Afflicted Monster Parts offer Hunters the ability to unlock the best, most powerful weapons to lead their fight in Elgado. Accordingly, this guide will detail the full list of available Afflicted Monster Parts, their associated Afflicted Monsters, and how to get them in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
MHR Sunbreak - What Are Afflicted Monster Parts?
Afflicted Monster Parts are a new addition to the MHR Sunbreak expansion. These materials are primarily used for crafting and upgrading exceptionally powerful weapons and equipment.

You can only gain these Monster parts through Anomaly Quests, which are special hunts against Monsters driven mad by the Qurio creatures encountered throughout the story.
MHR Sunbreak - How To Get Afflicted Monster Parts
MHR Sunbreak makes the new feature of collecting Afflicted Monster Parts a mission because of the RNG system. There are three methods by which you can get Afflicted Monster Parts in Sunbreak.
-
Quest Rewards: Quests will always drop at least two or three items daily.
-
Carving up a Monster: Each Carve on an Afflicted Monster has a 20% drop chance for their specific Afflicted Part.
-
Part Breaks: Each Part Break on an Afflicted Monster has a 20% chance to reward another Afflicted material.
The best way to get the most Afflicted Monster Parts is by using different skills. The Part Breaker Skill makes breaking or severing parts of Monsters easier. If max-leveled, the Part Damage will increase by 30%. The Goodluck Skill is another way to get increased quest rewards; at max level, it will greatly increase your chances of luck.
Dango Hopping Skewer, the Triple Rose Dango, will allow you to Carve extra times, giving you another 20% chance at getting an Afflicted Monster Part. Like the Goodluck Skill, the Dango Very Hap-Peanut often increases the number of reward items received at the quest's end.
By completing all 6 Arena Quests with all weapons, you'll receive the Feather of Mastery armor piece with the Carving Master Skill. This skill allows you to Carve one additional time, with no effect if you joined mid-quest. While this armor piece does have its benefits, the downside is losing a headpiece armor and sustaining a great deal of damage.
