Claim Alien: Blackout for free in celebration of Alien Day

Fans of the legendary horror franchise Alien know very well that today is a special day - Alien Day!

Why is the 26th of April Alien Day? Because 4/26 refers to the designation of the moon in the 1st film: LV-426, the moon where the xenomorphs are discovered in the original movie from 1979. Now you can boast with this knowledge amongst friends!

To celebrate Alien day, developer D3 Go is giving away the latest Alien game completely free, but just for today, so make sure to grab it! The game is Alien: Blackout, a mobile title for iOS and Android.

The game is basically a sequel/reimagination of the phenomenal Alien: Isolation, with strong Five Nights at Freddy's elements and gameplay mechanics. Still, it is definitely much more than just the FNAF knock off. The gameplay is actually based on an old Alien game from 1984, where your job was to guide crew members to their safety.

"The terror of Alien is brought to life in Alien: Blackout. Try to stay alive while trapped aboard a crippled Weyland-Yutani space station carrying a deadly Xenomorph as it tirelessly hunts you and the crew," says the official description. "Outsmart the perfect hunter by making perilous choices. Players must rely on the damaged controls of the space station or risk sacrificing crew members to avoid deadly contact, permanently altering the outcome of the game."

You will need to guide your crew members to perform various tasks and simultaneously make sure that they stay alive while doing those tasks. To achieve that, you'll use security cameras, motion detectors, door opening/closing, etc.  You'll also give direct commands to your crew to take some action, like hiding or running for their lives.

Although the announcement of the game was a massive disappointment because everyone expected Alien: Isolation 2 announcement, we must admit that the game itself was a fun experience. We definitely recommend you to grab the game today while it's free!
