After players arrive in the Free Lands at the end of the Prologue quest, they are given the title deed to a farmhouse, which has been left in quite a dilapidated state. Unable to repair the house at the start of the main questline, they'll have to progress with it until they have searched the surrounding areas for a set of tools for one specific quest.

Having acquired these tools, they can start mining and harvesting materials and other valuable resources to patch their home for the Home Sweet Home quest. Mirthwood Home Sweet Home Quest Objectives List

Their home has yet to feel like theirs, especially given how cluttered their Housing Plot is, with plenty of trees and rocks found on the property and grass being completely overgrown. While this may hinder them from expanding their garden, one of the game's early quests will help in this regard, as they can turn their attention to their home for the Home Sweet Home quest.

As the quest will require a few things for the players to mine and harvest to fix their home, this quest will need their recently acquired tools from The Road to Brightoak quest to acquire the resources. How To Complete The Home Sweet Home Quest In Mirthwood?

Now that players have been introduced to the farming mechanic, their farmhouse is still in disrepair, and this specific quest will guide them to repairing their home. As the quest suggests that players are to tidy up their manor, players must repair their house by cleaning up their Housing Plot, which they can achieve by mining the rocks cluttering their plot, harvesting hay from the overgrown grass, and chopping down smaller trees that may be obstructing plans of expanding their garden.

Once they've mined and harvested all the valuable resources on their plot, they can look for a signage post beside their home where interacting with it allows them to repair their home. They must repair both the interior and exterior, which requires 100 Stones and 100 pieces of Wood (50 Stones and 50 pieces of Wood each), but if they need more resources, they can find more in the open world environments.

After accumulating enough Stones and Wood to repair their house, interact with the post, which has a house icon, and select both options to repair their home successfully. Once their home has been patched up, they can interact with a panel inside their home where they can modify either the flooring or walls, which does require materials, but if they have enough Wood from fixing the interior and exterior, they can modify the floors as the easiest option.

The final objective tasks them with placing a decor item, which they can head to the Workbench and browse through the options available under the Gears icon tab, craft the item, and place down inside their home. This will also complete the Home Sweet Home quest for Mirthwood, which unlocks the A Fresh Start Achievement, as they can continue expanding their garden and home with upgrades like unlocking the second floor, which will unlock shortly after that.
