Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was announced at last night's PlayStation Showcase, but the announcement was void of details as to whether David Hayter would return to voice Big Boss, and whether the rest of the original cast would take up their classic roles. Thanks to a press release from Konami though, we now know that the original cast is coming back.
The press release reads as follows:
"A new generation of players and loyal fans alike can experience the origin story of the famed Big Boss, and witness how his legend was forged in the crucible of Operation Snake Eater. The remake will start the original voice characters, rich storyline and expansive features of combat survival in harsh environments evolved with unprecedented graphics and immersive sound"
While no release date was shown during the teaser, Andy Robinson of VGC replied "Yes" when asked if a fan should expect Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. It's currently unclear who's actually developing the game though, as no developer appeared during the teaser itself. There's a possibility it's being worked on in-house at Konami, but we cannot confirm this as of yet.
