Amy Hennig, the creator of the beloved action-adventure series, Uncharted, has announced her new AAA project, which is currently an unnamed story-driven action-adventure title featuring four playable characters, including Captain America and Black Panther.
The announcement came at this year's Disney & Marvel Games Showcase, with a short teaser revealing the game's World War 2 setting and its main protagonists.
Since the game features four playable characters, one of the many questions that fans have been asking since the reveal is whether it would have any sort of co-op elements to it. Fortunately, we have the answer everyone's looking for.
Amy Hennig's Marvel game won't feature co-op
Despite featuring four protagonists, whom players will take control of during various sections of the game, the upcoming Captain America & Black Panther game won't have co-op, online or offline.
Henning revealed the aforementioned info during an interview with IGN. On being asked whether this is a co-op title, she said, "Narratively yes, gameplay mechanics-wise no."
Henning's Captain America & Black Panther game to not have online or offline co-op mode makes sense if her past releases are any indication.
The Uncharted creator is known for making movie-style cinematic experiences that blend narrative with over-the-top gameplay and feature state-of-the-art visuals.
If Henning's recent statements are anything to go by, it seems the Captain America & Black Panther game will tread on the same path.
AAA multiplayer co-op superhero games are becoming increasingly popular this generation, with notable releases like Marvel's Avengers, Gotham Knights, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Amidst these, Henning's more focused story-driven title seems like a breath of fresh air, something that should, in particular, excite Uncharted fans.
While the game's title remains a mystery, we have gotten a decent look at all four playable characters. Aside from Captain America and Black Panther, we have the Howling Commandos member Gabriel Jones and the leader of the Wakandan Spy Network Nanali.

Interestingly, this isn't the only Disney and Marvel game Amy Hennig's studio Skydance New Media is working on.
The studio also announced a narrative-driven Star Wars game earlier this year.
