Series Drops in Marvel Snap used to be a great way for players to get their hands on powerful cards without spending large amounts of currency. Series Drops followed a set schedule, allowing players to plan accordingly and choose when to hold off on buying a card that might become cheaper in a few weeks.
However, since the introduction of "flexible" Series Drops, almost no cards have been downgraded and made cheaper. Naturally, the player base has taken "flexible" Series Drops to mean no Series Drops at all.
Thankfully, after reaching out on Discord, a player was replied to by a member of the Marvel Snap team, who revealed that an update to Series Drops would be coming by the end of the year, Whether this is an update to the system as a whole or just an update to tell players that nothing is changing remains to be seen.
Hopefully, some kind of Series Drops will return, as cards like Howard the Duck have no right still being a Series 5 card for how little impact they have on the game. Series Drops were a great way to reduce FOMO and help players save currency, and we would definitely like to see the system return in some shape or form.
