Marvel Snap is one of the best mobile games in recent memory. There is nothing better than collecting your favorite Marvel heroes and villains and battling it out in exciting duels. Unlike other card games that allow you to purchase packs directly in order to expand your collection, Marvel Snap uses a progression-based system to drip-feed players cards the more they play the game. By upgrading your existing cards, you can increase your Collection Level. And the higher your Collection Level, the more cards you can unlock.
However, in order to acquire the necessary currency to upgrade your cards, you're going to have to play the game. And the more games you win, the greater the rewards you receive. But how are you supposed to win games when you have virtually no cards? Well, there are tons of great beginner decks you can start using to climb the ranked ladder in Marvel Snap. This article will cover the best beginner decks you can use to start ranking up!
Best Beginner Decks In Marvel Snap
In Marvel Snap, cards are divided into pools. Pool 1 has 46 available cards, Pool 2 has 25 available cards, and Pool 3 has 74 available cards. New players will only have access to the first Pool of cards until reaching Collection Level 214. Additionally, the order in which you acquire these cards is randomized for each account, meaning you might have to wait a while to construct the most optimal deck. Regardless, here are some of the best beginner decks in Marvel Snap.
Deck 1: Ka-Zoo
The term "Zoo" is used in TCGs when talking about cards that drop a lot of low-cost minions on the board and then proceed to buff them. The Ka-Zoo deck seeks to overwhelm opponents with a slew of powerful One-Cost cards that are then buffed by Kazar. Here is the decklist:
- Ant-Man
- Elektra
- Korg
- Nightcrawler
- Rocket Raccoon
- Blade
- Angela
- Bishop
- Kazar
- Iron Man
- Blue Marvel
- America Chavez
Deck 2: Discard
Discard decks are also very popular as cards that discard other cards are statted very highly to compensate for their drawback. However, if you can turn this drawback into an advantage, you have a very powerful deck on your hands. Here is the decklist:
- Ant-Man
- Elektra
- Korg
- Nightcrawler
- Yondu
- Blade
- Angela
- Wolverine
- Lady Sif
- Sword Master
- Apocalypse
- America Chavez
Apocalypse is what really ties this deck together, as even discarding him once or twice makes him a huge threat in the late game.
Deck 3: Odin Reveal
Reveal Odin can be a very powerful deck but requires some game knowledge to work effectively. You will need to predict where your opponent will be playing cards in order to take advantage of cards like Rocket Raccoon, Star Lord, and Gamora. Here is the decklist:
- Nightcrawler
- Rocket Raccoon
- Yondu
- Mister Sinister
- Star Lord
- Scarlet Witch
- Ironheart
- Enchantress
- Jessica Jones
- White Tiger
- Gamora
- Odin
Much like Apocalypse, the powerful 6-cost Odin is the cornerstone of this deck. You should probably wait until you have Odin before trying this one out.
Deck 4: Ongoing
The final deck we'll be covering is Ongoing. This focuses on playing lots of cards with Ongoing abilities and then buffing them using Spectrum. Here is the decklist:
- Ant-Man
- Nightcrawler
- Armor
- Colossus
- Lizard
- Mister Fantastic
- The Punisher
- Captain America
- Namor
- Iron Man
- Klaw
- Spectrum
There are tons of other great decks out there, from self-destruction decks to Devil Dinosaur decks. Half the fun in Marvel Snap is using the cards you have at your disposal to create your own powerful combos. Good luck out there, and keep snapping!
