Marvel Rivals players have been chatting nonstop online after developer NetEase Games uploaded the official Launch Trailer days before its release. This saw new heroes joining the battle, which included the previously teased Black Widow and one of the most highly requested characters in the Wolverine.
In light of the recent Launch Trailer release, three heroes were featured in the developer's daily news announcements, including two recently announced heroes in Squirrel Girl and Iron Fist. This saw new Rivals Assembled videos and cosmetic skin reveals for these characters, which could find players embodying a popstar, the ultimate "Urban Hunter," or the master of a legendary blade when in-game.
Luna Snow was given all the spotlight, the glitz, and the glamour for this Korean pop (K-pop) sensational as the titular character received a Rivals Assembled video and cosmetic skin announcement on 30th November 2024. This icy cool hero will shine "on the battlefield" in the "Shining Star" skin, an originally designed cosmetic that will be featured during Season 0 for players to acquire in-game.
Following the Marvel Rivals Launch Trailer release, new playable characters have joined the roster, including the Duelist-classed hero, Doreen Green / Squirrel Girl, and her legion of furry friends. From chucking larger-than-life acorns at enemies to having her squirrel pals swarming the battlefield, the character can summon and lead them "into action" with her "Urban Hunter" cosmetic skin, which appeared in the U.S. Avengers (2017) #1 comic.
The guardian, the protector of K'un Lun, Lin Lie / the Immortal Iron Fist, embued with the power bestowed upon him by the mighty dragon, Shou-Lao, is making his way to Marvel Rivals. As the heir of the fabled "Sword of Fu Xi," Iron Fist has unveiled the sword's true power, which he can finally wield in the "Sword Master" cosmetic skin that appeared in the pages of the Sword Master (2019) #1 comic.
We still await more daily news announcements for the remaining heroes, including Black Widow, Cloak & Dagger, and the Wolverine, who were revealed alongside Iron Fist and Squirrel Girl in the Launch Trailer. While we're unsure of how these cosmetic skins will be acquired in-game, there are a few possibilities, like the Season Pass, the in-game Store, and Galacta's Quest missions, but we'll confirm this once the information has been revealed.
