Since Marvel Rivals is a team-focused hero shooter, it's no surprise that players frequently experiment with different character ability synergies. While this often results in exciting discoveries, it can also lead to frustrating exploits—like the recent one involving Jeff and Doctor Strange. Let’s break down how this exploit works and its impact on players in Marvel Rivals.

A New Dr. Strange and Jeff Exploit Is Banishing Players From Their Marvel Rivals Matches

A new exploit has been discovered in Marvel Rivals, as highlighted by social media channels like Marvel Rivals Intel on X. This exploit effectively kicks the entire opposing team out of the map, leaving them with no way to return unless they restart the game and reconnect to the lobby—yes, it’s that bad.

As of now, the exploit only works on two maps: Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface and Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya. It requires both Jeff and Doctor Strange on the same team. The setup involves Jeff using his ultimate to swallow multiple enemies at once while Doctor Strange strategically places one portal in an unreachable part of the map and another near Jeff.

Once set up, Jeff spits the trapped enemies into the portal, sending them into an inaccessible area. Then, while still in spawn, Doctor Strange swaps characters, causing the portal to close immediately. This leaves the opposing team completely stranded in an isolated, unreachable location for the rest of the round.

Hopeful for fix in future
While NetEase hasn’t addressed this teleporting issue yet, we’re hopeful they will take action as soon as possible. (Picture: NetEase)

Once banished, there is no way for the trapped players to escape or counter the glitch. With no team or self-damage mechanics to force a respawn, the only option is to disconnect and reconnect—returning them to spawn, but likely too late to salvage the match.

As expected, this exploit is highly disruptive. While it does require some coordination to pull off, it’s something that definitely shouldn’t be allowed to persist. Netease has yet to acknowledge the issue or release a hotfix, but hopefully, a patch will arrive soon to prevent this from ruining matches.
