As confirmed by EA Madden NFL on Twitter, the Madden 25 cover athlete reveal is set for Tuesday, June 11, 2024. While they didn't give us an exact time for the reveal, stuff like this tends to drop early in the morning around 9am ET.

Things are picking up a bit quicker than usual this year as the Madden 25 release date was announced alongside the EA Sports College Football 25 reveal to point players towards the new MVP Bundle featuring both games. We've already learned about all three players getting to grace the cover of College Football 25 for that franchise revival, but who will be their pro counterparts in 2024?

If you want the hot young star, not unlike the choice of Lamar Jackson just a few short years into his career, the best option is C.J. Stroud. After years of middling playcallers under center, C.J. Stroud looks like the franchise quarterback the Houston Texans have long needed. With a division championship under his belt capping off a great season last year, we might see the first Houston Texan get a cover athlete nod with Madden 25.

Justin Tucker - Baltimore Ravens

The dark horse, and my personal favorite option, is the greatest NFL kicker in history. With kickoff changes being introduced in the NFL this year, there will never be a better time or a better kicker candidate for cover athlete than Justin Tucker. The man is as close to automatic as the league has ever seen, and he's also been clutch in fantasy football for years. If they want an unforgettable Madden 25 cover athlete selection, it's time to give Justin Tucker his flowers.
