While the NFL regular season is gearing up, the same is true for the annual Madden Championship Series. The annual esports competition between the world's best in Madden officially has a new home, and the announcement also reveals key dates about this year's schedule. Even those who aren't looking to score cash prizes this year will want to keep an eye on these dates for Madden 25 Ultimate Team releases.
Madden 25 Championship Series Events Schedule Announced
Things are leveling up in the MCS this year with Full Sail University set to host six events inside the Full Sail University Orlando Health Fortress, the largest collegiate esports arena in the country. The Fortress boasts an impressive 10 million pixel LED wall, and all LED lighting rig, a concert-level PA system, and capacity for up to 500 guests during these events. Full Sail graduates and students will assist in the production of each event, and the MCS team is contributing to a scholarship fund for Full Sail University students.
“Full Sail University is the perfect home for the upcoming MCS 25 season,” said Andrew Echanique, Director of NA Football Esports at EA. “Not only does the Fortress provide unique technical capabilities for our production team but also offers invaluable educational opportunities for students to create memorable experiences for our players and fans.”
The most elite Madden 25 players will travel to the venue in Winter Park, Florida to compete for $100,000 just in the Kickoff Classic as the MCS year gets rolling. If you're not planning to compete, there are two big incentives to follow the annual Madden Championship Series.
Viewers can see some of the strategies and moves the best players in the world are utilizing, and that includes a live audience for two of this year's six events, all of which will broadcast from The Fortress. For MUT 25 players, you can also expect in-game themed events to line up with some of these MCS events and could score free Ultimate Team cards just by streaming each MCS broadcast.
Here's the annual schedule of MCS 25 events just revealed:
- Kickoff Classic (Finals Broadcast September 4, 2024)
- Kickoff Challenge (Finals Broadcast September 10-11, 2024)
- Most Feared Challenge (Finals Broadcast October 23, 2024)
- Unstoppable Challenge (Finals Broadcast November 13, 2024)
- Zero Chill Challenge (Finals Broadcast December 18, 2024)
- MCS 25 Playoffs (Round of 14 & Quarter Finals Broadcast January 21-22, 2025, then Quarter Finals & Semifinals Broadcast January 29, 2025)
You can register here to attend the Kickoff Challenge in-person, and registration will open at a later date for the Round of 14 and Quarter Finals of the MCS 25 Playoffs. Last year, MCS winners would often get to customize and influence an Ultimate Team card that would become available in a future event series.
This year, we may see the Kickoff Challenge winner design something for Most Feared or the Unstoppable Challenge winner create something for the Zero Chill event this December. Exact timing hasn't been confirmed yet, but MUT 25 players should expect in-game events like Zero Chill or Most Feared to debut soon after each of these MCS events.
