Every week in the NFL season has the potential to bring something new to the field, but one of the most stunning moments of the year saw Saquon Barkley leap backwards over a defender using an innovative spin hurdle. It instantly became a viral highlight, but now Madden 25 is getting in on the action. With this move added in the last update, learn how to do Saquon Barkley's spin hurdle in Madden 25.
How to Spin Hurdle in Madden 25 with Saquon Barkley
Crazy hurdles are a classic part of Madden, but that's gone to a whole new level in the recent Madden 25 title update. If you want to hit that spin hurdle, the most important thing is that you'll need to be using Saquon Barkley.
While this could change in future games, as of now the only player in Madden 25 even capable of attempting this move is Saquon Barkley. It's his signature highlight at the moment, and it'll take exactly his skill to have a chance at recreating that backwards spinning jump over an incoming defender.
While using Saquon Barkley as a ballcarrier, the defender must be incoming from a 45 degree angle in front of you. Barkley will also need to be within a close proximity to the defender, and with that aligned you just need to press the hurdle button. If you need a refresher, check out our Madden 25 controls guide.
Sounds easy, right? Wrong. YouTube creator QJB recently shared his own explanation of how to hit Saquon Barkley's spin hurdle. Even for an experienced player like him, it apparently took him about an hour to get the timing right.
The image above shows the position QJB suggest you need to be in when you hit the hurdle button. The opportunity will be rare, but players that can nail the timing will have a highlight reel weapon in their arsenal any time Saquon Barkley takes the field in Madden 25.
