Ergo is the lifeblood that keeps everything ticking in Lies of P. Similar to the Souls acquired in the Souls-like series of Games, Ergo allows you to level up and upgrade your weapons in the game, however, some Ergo are more unique and rare than others, and these are called Rare Ergo. 

If you've played through Lies of P and defeated at least one boss then it's likely you'll have acquired a Rare Ergo, but while you may think it's just another source of Ergo to dump into your weapons and levels, its use doesn't stop there. So in this guide, we'll be explaining what Rare Ergo is and how to use them in Lies of P. 

What is Rare Ergo in Lies of P? 

If you've had experience with the Souls games before delving into Lies of P, you've probably encountered unique Souls that you acquire after defeating a boss. Lies of P incorporates a similar feature into its Ergo system, awarding you a Rare Ergo upon defeating any of the game's bosses.

These Rare Ergo items can be consumed to provide you with a substantial amount of Ergo, which you can then use for your weapons or for leveling up when conversing with Sophia. However, what you may not initially realize in the early stages of the game is that they serve a secondary purpose, specifically enabling you to obtain special Boss weapons.

The opportunity to utilize this feature only arises around one-third of the way through the game. So, up to that point, you may have used your Rare Ergo for the Ergo they offer. Nevertheless, if you're interested in gaining access to the boss weapons they can bestow, we recommend holding onto them for now. Next, let's delve into the precise steps and locations where you'll need to use the Rare Ergo in Lies of P.

How to Use Rare Ergo in Lies of P

As previously mentioned, consuming a Rare Ergo can yield a substantial amount of Ergo, typically ranging from 5000 to 7000. However, once players reach the fourth primary area in the game, St. Frangelico Cathedral, they will have the opportunity to utilize their Rare Ergo to craft boss weapons. To reach this location, you must navigate through Moonlight Town, traverse the Path of Misery, and finally arrive at the St. Frangelico Cathedral.

Inside the cathedral, your journey continues until you reach the St. Frangelico Cathedral Library, along with its associated Stargazer. Once you're in this area, head to the left side of the room and proceed forward until you encounter a formidable petrified enemy wandering about. 

After defeating this enemy, you'll notice an elevator at the back of the room. Enter the elevator and ride it to the cathedral's primary balcony, which offers a stunning view of the city of Krat. It's at this point that you'll meet a valuable NPC named Alidoro.

Upon conversing with Alidoro, you'll unlock him as a merchant who gives you the option to bring him any Rare Ergo you come across and exchange them for potent boss weapons as you progress through the game. Additionally, he'll inquire about a secure location where he can establish a vendor's shop to fulfill your boss's weapon requirements. You can choose to inform him about either Hotel Krat or Vegnini Works.

Once this dialogue is concluded, you'll have a permanent vendor at your disposal to trade your Rare Ergo for remarkable and powerful boss weapons in Lies of P.
