With League of Legends: Wild Rift's open beta coming to Europe, Middle East, North Africa, Russia, CIS, and Turkey on 10th December 2020, there's a lot to get excited about. Wild Rift is, of course, the mobile version of League of Legends for both Android and iOS devices. Now, Riot Games has shared content details of the upcoming Wild Rift update, which will feature new Champions, seven new Skins, and an event called Noxian Brotherhood.
New Wild Rift update release date
First off, the new Wild Rift update has an expected release date of 10th December 2020, as the game opens up for more regions.
The Noxian Brotherhood event also releases on 10th December, making the release date for the new Wild Rift update all-but-confirmed.
Wild Rift new champions
A total of three new Champions will enter Summoner's Rift with the next Wild Rift update, and you might know then very well from League of Legends.
This was revealed by Riot Games in the final Dev Diary update of 2020, as they look towards the future of their mobile title.
The three new Champions coming with the next Wild Rift update are:
- Darius
- Draven
- Wukong
Best of all, you won't need to spend your Blue Modes or Wild Cores on Darius and Draven. Instead, players will be able to unlock both these new Wild Rift champions through the Noxian Brotherhood event, while they will likely still have to purchase Wukong.

At the time of writing, we don't know a lot about the Wild Rift Noxian Brotherhood event, apart from the fact that you will be able to complete missions to unlock accessories and get both Darius and Draven for free.

Wild Rift Open Beta Ranked Season Rewards
With the open beta ranked season for Wild Rift coming to an end soon, everyone who participated will receive some rewards.
At the time of writing, Riot Games has not shared what those rewards will be but it was revealed during the Dev Diary that players will get a lobby emblem based on the highest rank they have achieved.
Lastly, Riot will share more information in 2021 and revealed some events will run both in Wild Rift and League of Legends at the same time.
