LoL Wild Rift Twitch Rivals Invitational: How to watch, schedule and players

For those who've been waiting not-so-patiently for League of Legends: Wild Rift, Riot Games' new mobile title, there's a special Twitch Rivals preview event to look forward to. The Twitch Rivals League of Legends: Wild Rift x Verizon 5G Invitational, from Riot Games, Twitch Rivals, Verizon and Apple, will see celebrities and influencers battle it out on iPhone 12 Pro's on a 5G network. Here's what you need to know.

The prizes

The best performing player in the Twitch Rivals LoL: Wild Rift x Verizon 5G Invitational will be memorialized by their profile being carved into a pillar at Riot Studios. The best player will be determined by votes from the viewers.

The Twitch Rivals page for the Wild Rift Invitational explains: "Fans can get a chance to get their hands on the new iPhone 12 Pro with 5G by engaging with players and @Verizon on Twitter."

The players

The players for the Twitch Rivals LoL: Wild Rift x Verizon 5G Invitational have all been invited to participate in this one-of-a-kind event. 

The players are:

• Zaqueri "Aphromoo" Black
• William "Meteos" Hartman
• Emmalee "EMUHLEET" Garrido
• Claudio "Cesaro" Castagnoli
• FaZe Apex
• Nate Hill
• Joe Manganiello
• Chrissy Costanza
• Anton "ZEDD" Zaslavski
• LeTigress

These are all celebrities, influencers and even some LoL pro players such as Meteos

Format

The Twitch Rivals LoL Wild Rift x Verizon 5G Invitational will be played on a 5G network, with a unique twist.

Fans will be able to make an impact on the event by voting on strategies, champion choices, matchups and more.

The format is outlined as:

• 10 Players
• Three (3) Games; each game is 5v5
  Viewers vote on the team composition for each game via Twitch polls
• Champions, strategies, and more determined by fans through @Verizon on Twitter
• After 3 games, the best performing player will be chosen through an audience vote!

Schedule

The Twitch Rivals LoL Wild Rift x Verizon 5G Invitational will be held on Thursday, 22nd October 22 at 21:30 EST.

For those in the UK, the date and time are 23rd October at 02:30. The event is expected to run for roughly two hours.
