The first international League of Legends event, the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), is starting soon, and the top teams from nine regions will battle it out for the title. This year MSI will be taking place in London at Copper Box Arena, and Riot has announced the complete schedule, format, and more about the tournament.
LoL MSI 2023 Schedule and Format
MSI will begin on May 2 and will run for three weeks, with the Finals taking place on May 2. It will have two stages, including the Play-Ins and the Bracket stage.
During the Play-Ins, one team from five smaller regions and the No. 2 seeds from the LPL, LCS, and LEC will be divided into two brackets. They will then fight in best-of-3 matches in double-elimination brackets for a total of three spots in the Bracket stage. Apart from this, the No. 2 seed from the LCK will directly go to the Bracket Stage, as an LCK team won the 2022 World Championship.
The Bracket Stage will then feature eight teams, including three teams from Play-Ins and the winners of LEC1, LCS1, LPL1, LCK1, and LCK2.
