While G2 didn’t quite achieve the landmark victory they were hoping for, new documentary Chasing The Dream will follow Martin “Wunder” Hansen, Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski, Rasmus “Caps” Winther, Luka “Perkz” Perkovic and Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle on their ascent to the finals in Paris.
A teaser for the film reads: “Joy. Heartbreak. Sacrifice. Relive us chasing the dream at Worlds 2019.”
It’s been a big year for the team, with Caps moving over from Fnatic after the Worlds 2018 final – which nudged previous midlaner Perkz to an AD Carry role.
It was a controversial move many questioned upon the announcement, although they went onto become a dominating force – winning the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational, LEC Spring and Summer Season, and Rift Rivals 2019 one after the other.
Their success however didn’t quite continue at the Worlds 2019 final against Chinese team FunPlus Phoenix, losing in a straight 0-2 match.
Despite the loss, however, it’s hard to deny they’re one of the best teams in the world with their track record over the past year – something this documentary hopes to hammer home.
