Does Last Epoch Have WASD Movement?

As it currently stands, WASD controls are not featured in Last Epoch, and it doesn't appear to be a feature that we'll see added any time soon either. This is likely because traditional or isometric ARPGs on PC have always opted for using the mouse to move by either right-clicking the mouse and/or holding the button down in the direction you want to go.

Now, many players have made it clear that it would be nice to see this feature added to the game, especially since the games compared to Last Epoch, Diablo 4, and Path of Exile 2 both feature WASD controls. Just last year, YouTuber K3nergy shared that they had reached out to Eleventh Hour Games asking about the potential movement options being added.

Unfortunately, in their response, they said that while further controller optimization is in the works, WASD is not. To quote the spokesperson for Eleventh Hour directly, "Unfortunately at this time there are no plans to do a WASD movement option, but we are looking to continue optimizing our controller capabilities.”

Sadly, this might be bad news for many players who prefer the less rigid movement system of using WASD controls, but thankfully, you can use a controller on a PC to get a similar result. When it comes to full-on WASD controls, however, we'll just have to wait and see as time goes on, and more features get added; WASD controls might just be one of them.
