As you explore the realm of Eterra in Last Epoch, you'll encounter various side quests and missions known as prophecies. These prophecies offer unique rewards upon completion, and one of the challenges you might face is dealing with Void Horrors.
This guide will walk you through the initiation of the Void Horrors prophecy and provide insights on locating the Void Horrors for their defeat. Without any more delay, let's jump right in.
Last Epoch Void Horrors Location & Prophecy
The Void Horrors Prophecy is unlocked just like any other prophecy in the game by reaching Chapter 9 of the campaign, which will grant you access to the Circle of Fortune, located in the Upper District of Maj'Elka. Once unlocked, you will find four telescopes around the room, and interacting with them will allow you to view Prophecies you can buy using Favors for fixed rewards.
Each prophecy gives you tasks to complete, and when you finish them, you get a reward. The cool thing is, unlike regular loot drops that are random, these rewards are guaranteed. However, the tasks assigned to each prophecy are random, so it won't be the same for each one, but eventually, one of them will require that you defeat Void Horrors to get your rewards.
Last Epoch Void Horror Locations:
Once you have a prophecy that requires killing Void Horrors, you'll need to know how to find them. These black masses are hostile creatures with powerful melee attacks and a special Void Explosion skill in which they throw an explosive void projectile at their foes, so be prepared for a fight once you find them.
At the time of writing, there are a few places where you can find the Void Horrors, so we've listed them below in order of most likely to find them to least likely:
- The Forsaken Trail - This area is located in the Central Valley.
- Black Sun Monolith - Inside the Underground Palace Echoes inside the Monolith.
- The Surface - This area is located in the Central Valley.
- Lotus Halls - This area is located in the Temple of Eterra.
- The Arena - Taking on waves of enemies inside the Arena can spawn Void Horrors, so check out our Arena guide here for more details on this end-game feature.
When facing the Void Horrors, be sure to avoid their close-range melee attacks, as well as their Void Explosion attack, which lobs an explosive void projectile at a target area. Keep your wits about you, and this enemy should go down easily, bringing you one step closer to completing the prophecy and obtaining your rewards.
