How To Unlock Mastery Classes in Last Epoch

For newcomers to Eleventh Hour Games' time-traveling ARPG, Last Epoch, and Class Masteries might seem a bit confusing. Don't worry, prospective defenders of Eterra, we've got you covered!

Last Epoch Mastery Classes: How To Unlock

There are a few requirements you must meet before unlocking Mastery Classes in Last Epoch. First of all, you must spend 20 points on your base class. Then, you must reach Chapter 4 of Last Epoch's story.

Once you've reached Chapter 4 and spent 20 points, you must complete the End of Time quest and then speak to the Forgotten Knight to get the Power of Mastery quest. Alternatively, if the Forgotten Knight doesn't have the quest for you, head to Elder Gaspar to pick up the quest. 

Once you've completed the Power of Mastery quest, you'll see a button pop up saying "Unlock Masteries," and you can spend your skill points in any of the three Mastery Classes for your class. At level 25, however, you will have to make a choice, "Ascending," to one Mastery class.

Please note: Which Last Epoch Mastery Class you Ascend to is a permanent decision.

Last Epoch Masteries Per Class

Each base class has three Masteries in Last Epoch. These are specialization choices that alter your playstyle as skills permanently! For example, an Acolyte becomes a Warlock, or a Sentinel becomes a Paladin. 

Below, you can find the baseline classes and their respective Masteries in Last Epoch. Each class has three (3) to choose from, making for a total of 15 Mastery options in the game.

Remember, you can have specialized skills that you can further customize when choosing a Mastery. It was, in all fairness, a tougher choice for us than picking our baseline class!
