GTA The Trilogy launch times, download size and more

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy, "The Definitive Edition", is the latest bundle from Rockstar Games and includes the best, most iconic iterations from the GTA franchise, including GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas, each one enhanced for the new generation.

While this may not create the same buzz as Rockstar Games launching GTA 6, this latest remastered bundle does include a hint of nostalgia that "old school" GTA fans may still appreciate. GTA: The Trilogy is more than just a remastered version of each game and offers up all-new gameplay mechanics to put the cherry on top.

When does GTA: The Trilogy unlock?

Rockstar Games revealed that GTA: The Trilogy will be available digitally on 11th November at 10 am ET | 7 am PT | 3 pm GMT across all major gameplay platforms, including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One | Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Rockstar Games Launcher.

Physical release copies of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy will only be available from 7th December.

Since the game is launching globally simultaneously, players in the Southern Hemisphere will not be able to access the game early. However, the games are currently available to pre-load, so everyone will enjoy the game once it goes live.

How big is GTA: The Trilogy?

"The Definitive Edition" of GTA: The Trilogy is approximately 39.2GB for current-gen consoles.

According to Rockstar, GTA: The Trilogy will feature "across-the-board upgrades" such as visual improvements with modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles. Beyond this, GTA: The Trilogy will be more than just an upscaled, re-rendered version of the classic you know and love.

Rockstar Games have partnered with Grove Street Games to harness the power of the Unreal Engine to improve lighting, character and vehicle models. Moreover, the gameplay mechanics have also been updated
