GTA 5 continues to sell incredibly well even after 9 years from its initial launch on PS3 and Xbox 360. However, Rockstar Games has no intention of stopping there and is re-releasing GTA 5 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S with visual enhancements and other quality of life improvements.
Given the popularity of GTA 5, it won't be surprising to see many veteran GTA 5 players return to experience the next-gen variant of it. Unfortunately, the existing PS4 and Xbox One users of GTA 5 won't get a free next-gen upgrade. Furthermore, the price at which they can buy the game is a bit confusing as well. As such, here's our guide explaining GTA 5's next-gen pricing on Xbox Series X and PS5.

On the other hand, a standalone version of GTA Online will be available for free on PS5 for the first three months. Once this period is over, GTA Online on PS5 will cost you $19.99/£17.99.
