Gran Turismo 7 June Update Adds 3 New Cars

Gran Turismo 7 is getting a new update next week, and a cryptic post is teasing what may appear in the update. From the looks of it, three new cars will be added, though the Twitter post has them all covered in shadow. However, we may know what to expect thanks to sleuths. 

Over on ResetEra, fans have worked out what cars appear in the image. Apparently, the three cars are the Subaru Impreza WRX STi, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO III GSR, and the Aston Martin Valkyrie. The game is getting periodic updates both to add content and to fix issues that have existed in the game since it launched last year.

Even though Gran Turismo 7 was only released last year, Gran Turismo 8 is apparently already in development, according to Kazunori Yamauchi. In an interview with Game Watch, Yamauchi stated:

"I'm starting to run towards the next one, but I can't tell you yet. It's a pity that I can't talk much."

The Gran Turismo franchise is currently preparing for the release of its first movie, with the movie releasing in August 2023. It'll star Archie Madekwe, Orlando Bloom, and David Harbour, and is being directed by Neil Blomkamp, who also directed District 9, Chappie, and Elysium.
