Gran Turismo 7 was released on 4th March and marked a new era of the famous racing franchise from developer Polyphony Digital. It's the 25th anniversary since the title first debuted on PlayStation, so this will undoubtedly be a big year for the Gran Turismo franchise.
Followingly, the game developers seem intent on delivering a product that exceeds the expectations of its player base and has taken every measure to make Gran Turismo 7 the best game it could be.
For example, GTA7 features a massive car list comprising nearly every speedy automobile that players could think of, providing endless hours of racing content. But with so many options, it can be hard to figure out which are the most crucial to your success in dominating the game. So to help you along, we've listed the Top 10 best cars in Gran Turismo 7.
Top 10 cars in Gran Turismo 7
To address the obvious, many or all of these cars will be out of most players' price range in the early stages of gameplay. In fact, many are not even available for unlocking until further game progression has been made.
However, these speed demons will be within reach when players have farmed credits and progressed a bit of the campaign mode. Admittedly, this list may be a bit predictable, but here are the top 10 best cars in Gran Turismo 7, in descending order.
10. Jaguar VGT Coupe
Making its second appearance in the Gran Turismo series, the Jaguar VGT Coupe is a concept car, and it's one of the top vehicles in Gran Turismo 7. Though it's a rather heavy car at 1,400 KG, the powerful electric engine will provide more than enough speed with 1,004 BHP.
9. Jaguar VGT Roadster
Making its debut in the Gran Turismo franchise, yet another concept car from Jaguar cracks the list at #9. The exterior is slightly different from the VGT Coupe, but the engine specifications are virtually identical. This 1,400 KG Roadster carries a 1,004 BHP tag with its impressive electric engine as an electric vehicle.
8. SRT Tomahawk S VGT
The SRT Tomahawk S VGT first debuted in Gran Turismo 6, bringing a striking appearance. A very lightweight vehicle, the SRT Tomahawk S VGT can practically fly thanks to its super aerodynamic design. The combo of 921 KG to 1,006 BHP should have players winning many races.
7. FXX K '14
It wouldn't be a top 10 list without including a Ferrari. After making its Gran Turismo franchise debut, the FXX K '14 is undoubtedly a top option. With 1,034 BHP to a 1,165 KG weight ratio, this is an absolute rocket and a superb selection in GT7.
6. Porsche VGT
This is another concept car, and the Porsche creation gives off a futuristic vibe. With 1,098 BHP, it can shift through the gears, and its heavier weight of 1,390 KG improves handling at higher speeds.
5. McLaren VGT
The VGT first debuted in GT Sport and is the first McClaren to crack the top 10 list. Featuring a total racecar appearance, the VGT carries a turbo-powered engine supplying 1,134 BHP. At only 900 KG weight, this car could take off fully opened up.
4. SRT Tomahawk GTS-R VGT
Making its return from GT6, the Dodge SRT Tomahawk GTS-R VGT comes in at #4 on the list and is the next step up from the #8 ranked car, improving on both power and speed. In addition, the vehicle has only 663 KG weight, paired with a 7,000 cc engine and 1,449 BHP, which should have you zooming past the competition.
3. Bugatti VGT
One of the most notorious cars globally, the single word "Bugatti" rings bells immediately. The speed of this car is also immediate, with a whopping 1,626 BHP and 7,993 cc. Also carrying a solid handling ability at top speeds due to the 1,400 KG weight, this is without a doubt a top 3 option in Gran Turismo 7.
2. Jaguar VGT SV
Making a debut in Gran Turismo and coming in at #2 on the top 10 list, the Jaguar VGT SV is the best from the British manufacturer. At a staggering 1,876 BHP, the VGT SV is almost twice as powerful as the VGT Coupe and Roadster options. It can be a challenge to handle at first, but experienced GT players will fall in love with this car.
1. SRT Tomahawk X VGT
The fastest car in Gran Turismo 7 is the SRT Tomahawk X VGT, point-blank. This car is a clear cut above the rest with a 7,000 cc engine, ultra-light 749 KG body weight, and a mighty 2,586 BHP. It's a 1 million credit car in Gran Turismo 7, but when players finally get their hands on it, they will be far from disappointed.
