The latest instalment of developer Polyphony Digital's Real Driving Simulator, Gran Turismo 7, features an immense amount of content. From a plethora of detailed tracks spread across various regions, to Gran Turismo 7's mammoth car list, this might just be the greatest game in the franchise yet. With so much content, prospective drivers might expect a large file size for Gran Turismo 7.
In this article, we outline the exact file size of Gran Turismo 7 so those on PS4 and PS5 know if they need to clear some space before downloading the game.
What is Gran Turismo 7's file/download size?
Let's cut right to the chase, the Gran Turismo 7 file size is over 90 GB. To be exact, it's 89.445 GB without the Day One update. Fully installed, the file size is 96.8 GB on PS5 and 101.9 GB on PS4.
With the game's release date as 4th March 2022, we suggest players start the pre-loading process right away.
To pre-load Gran Turismo 7, simply purchase the game from the PlayStation Store and start the download process.
Once more and more content or additional updates become available, Gran Turismo 7's file size will likely grow. It is interesting to note that PS5's compression tech could reduce the game's overall footprint on its super-fast SSD a bit.
We've seen this happen with multiple titles in the past, so there's a good chance PS5 owners might see a reduced file size for developer Polyphony Digital's Real Driving Simulator. With that being said, Sony recommends 110 GB free space, at least.
