Everything Announced In Genshin Impact 3.1 Livestream

Developer HoYoverse is gearing up for the next content update for Genshin Impact with the announcement of their next Special Program Livestream. After revealing changes to their schedule window for upcoming updates during the 3.0 Special Program Livestream, this sees a new update arriving every five weeks until the version 3.2 update.

Travelers can expect more content to arrive in the Sumeru region with a few surprises and plenty of Redemption Codes to redeem in-game to earn Primogems and Mora. For those who can't watch it on Twitch, here's everything announced during the 3.1 Special Program Livestream, including the new characters, events, banners, and more.

Everything Revealed In Genshin Impact 3.1 Livestream

HoYoverse will broadcast the 3.1 Special Program Livestream on the official Genshin Impact Twitch channel on 16th September 2022 at 8 AM (UTC-4). The stream will give Travelers a detailed look into the upcoming update, including new banner schedules, events, characters, and more.

[1:05 PM GMT] The 3.1 update King Deshret and the Three Magi will launch on 28th September 2022. Thanks for following this live blog for the 3.1 Special Program Livestream, and join us for the next broadcast.

[1:00 PM GMT] Two interesting trailers revealed new events that will be happening in-game and beyond, featuring the Traveler, Aether, and Paimon. Who could this be?

[12:57 PM GMT] The third redemption Code has been unveiled for Travelers to redeem and claim rewards. 

[12:51 PM GMT] A collaboration between developer HoYoverse and Ufotable Studio to produce a "long-term project launch," an anime series based on the video game.

[12:45 PM GMT] A musical intermission brings us the beautiful sounds of the Sumeru region.

[12:42 PM GMT] The voice actors for Yae Miko, Gorou, Albedo, Aether, and Lumine send their birthday wishes for Genshin Impact's second anniversary!

[12:40 PM GMT] The second Redemption Code is available to redeem, Travelers!

[12:39 PM GMT] The Genius Invokation TGC will become a permanent gameplay feature for Genshin Impact.

[12:36 PM GMT] Hyakunin Ikki gets another event rerun for the Genshin Impact version 3.1 update.

[12:34 PM GMT] The next event, Wind Chaser, revealed by the developer, sees Travelers aiding a stranger who stumbled onto a strange domain.

[12:32 PM GMT] The first event for the version 3.1 update in Genshin Impact, Of Ballads and Brews, will see Travelers returning to Mondstadt to assist the region's Adventurers' Guild.

[12:31 PM GMT] More voice actors behind our favorite characters, Venti, Nahida, Xiao, Kamiato Ayato, and Eula, wish Genshin Impact a happy birthday!

[12:30 PM GMT] The first Redemption Code has been revealed. Redeem the code to receive Primogems and more.

[12:28 PM GMT] A new Ruin Drake boss, Aeoblight Drake, is set to be the mightiest of all Ruin bosses in Genshin Impact.

[12:26 PM GMT] Phase I of the Character Event Wish banners see Cyno and Venti appear in separate banners, while Nilou and Albedo are featured in Phase II. In addition, Candace will get a boosted drop rate for the Phase I banner.

Additionally, five new weapons will be arriving in the version 3.1 update; however, no word as to how they can acquire them.

[12:23 PM GMT] The final character in the version 3.1 update is the talented dancer, Nilou, another Hydro character playable in Genshin Impact.

New Story Quests for Nilou and Cyno will be en route to Genshin Impact 3.1 update, so, Travelers, get ready to spend some time in Sumeru City and the desert area with these characters.

[12:21 PM GMT] The next character joining Genshin Impact in the version 3.1 update is the Electro-wielding character, Cyno.

[12:18 PM GMT] The developers are providing character introduction and combat details for Candace, the next Hydro character arriving in Genshin Impact.

[12:15 PM GMT] The voice actors for Dainsleif, Zhongli, Yelan, Arataki Itto, and Kamisato Ayaka offer their best birthday wishes as Genshin Impact celebrates its second anniversary; this includes Itto's incredible beatboxing!

[12:13 PM GMT] Aaru Village, a new location within Sumeru, is described as a fortress that has survived even during the desert's harsh weather conditions.

[12:10 PM GMT] A new boss was revealed, and the next batch of Archon Quests was unveiled.

[12:05 PM GMT] HoYoverse's design team is discussing the backstory of the version 3.1 update and more about the desert region of Sumeru.

[12:04 PM GMT] Scaramouche makes a brief appearance at the trailer's conclusion. The version 3.1 update will be titled King Deshret and the Three Magi.
