A few months have passed since the official launch of Genshin Impact, the gacha RPG developed by miHoYo, and since then it has gained a massive fan base thanks to its anime stylings and interesting and original character design.
Recently the game's developers have taken the time to answer several of the questions from their community made through HoYoLAB, Genshin Impact's official forums, during their latest Developers Discussion session.
Today, through a leaked announcement on the game's servers for Asia, the release date of version 1.3 was revealed, along with what will be the first thematic event of the new update.

According to players from the Asian server, the miHoYo team has planned a live stream for 22nd January to bring the official details for the changes that will be found in version 1.3.
With this information and based on past update schedules version 1.3 is likely to come out on, or around, the 3rd February.
The first thematic event is also expected to be announced during the live stream, likely called "The Lantern Festival", and will be based on one of the biggest festivities in Asia - The Chinese New Year.
It’s rumoured that its first gacha banner will feature the character known as the "Guardian Yaksha": Xiao, a character last seen during the sudden disappearance of the Jade Chamber after the awakening of a certain deity in the Liyue ocean.
At this moment the date and time of the live stream for other regions has yet to be confirmed, however, it’s expected that this and more new information will be released officially this Friday through the game's social networks.
