Genshin Impact - New Character Shikanoin Heizou Announced

Genshin Impact's official Twitter handle recently shared the official art, along with other details, for a new character named Shikanoin Heizou, slated to arrive in the game with the version 2.8 update. On the 16th of May, leaks on Shikanoin Heizou began surfacing over social channels like Twitter, Facebook, Discord, and others. In response to that, HoYoverse, previously known as miHoYo, went ahead and officially revealed Shikanoin Heizou as a playable character. 

Shikanoin Heizou stands at the epitome of brilliance as he is the best Detective in Inazuma, one of the seven regions of Teyvat—the fictional world of Genshin Impact. He is well-known in the City of Inazuma and locations around it for his cheerful and lively behavior and his god-like intuition and investigative skills. 

Whether we go with Genshin Impact lore surrounding Shikanoin Heizou or the hints and clues on the said character found around Inazuma—both have one thing in common, Shikanoin Heizou is a well respected and talented person. 

Genshin Impact Shikanoin Heizou element, rarity, weapon, and other details

Shikanoin Heizou is a four-star playable character in Genshin Impact. He is an Anemo element user, and he is the first male character in the entire game who wields a Catalyst as a weapon.

Heizou is from the Tenryu Commission, whose character design and overall aesthetics draw a close resemblance to the five-star playable character, Kaedehara Kazuha. But, unlike Kazuha, Shikanoin Heizou is more of an Anemo DPS unit when compared to Kazuha, who works well as an Anemo Support unit.

As per the Genshin Impact 2.8 leaks, Shikanoin Heizou's Normal Attack talent is called Fudou Style Martial Arts. It offers the same normal, charged, and plunging attack with different animation and attack styles. Heizou's Elemental Skill is called Heartstopper Strike, and it has two forms that you can execute by simply Tapping or Holding the Elemental Skill button.

The Elemental Burst attack of Heizou is called Windmuster Kick. It is a unique technique that gathers Anemo in one place before unleashing it all in one kick—that deals AoE Anemo DMG and creates Vaccum Slugger effect if the opponent is already affected by elements like Hydro/Pyro/Electro/Cryo.
