The Windblume Festival is getting closer and closer to ending, bringing many changes to Genshin Impact's worlds, banners, and events.
While Venti will be saying goodbye to the gacha once again, a new character will make her debut as the newest member of Genshin Impact's playable roster, being an old acquaintance from our missions in Dragonspine.
Known for her cool demeanor and her agile and powerful attacks, "Thorny Benevolence" Rosaria will be coming to the game in a few days, so here we bring you her introduction and all the details about her.
Rosaria: Backstory and abilities
Rosaria is known for being one of the sisters of Mondstadt's Church of Favonius, however, unlike Barbara and Jilliana, she tends to have a more serious and mature attitude, which is reflected in her way of dressing and acting.
Of course, sometimes she also tends to skip Church protocols a bit, taking an occasional trip to the tavern to have a good drink.
We already met Rosaria during the main story of Albedo and Dragonspine Mountain, being a mysterious vigilante but with great power thanks to her Cryo abilities, which make her stand out from the rest for her tremendous potential in combat.

Her normal attack, Spear of the Church, allows her to hit the enemies with up to five rapid strikes using her polearm. When charged, Rosaria can consume a certain amount of Stamina to lunge forward, dealing damage to enemies along the way.
Her elemental skill, Ravaging Confession, allows Hu Tao to position herself behind her opponent, then pierce and slash the enemy dealing Cryo DMG. However, this will not work on large enemies.
When activating her elemental burst, Rites of Termination, Rosaria will start a Cryo DMG ritual con el cual she will swing her weapon to slash nearby enemies, then summon an Ice Lance that will strike the ground.

While the Ice Lance is in place, it will release a blast of cold air every few seconds, dealing Cryo DMG which can be combined with other elemental effects.
Best weapons for Rosaria
Skyward Spine
(Picture: MiHoYo)
We start the recommended weapons section with the Skyward Spine, a 5-star polearm that can only be obtained through gacha and one of the best weapons around the lore of Mondstadt.
This polearm increases CRIT Rate by 8/10/12/14/16% and Normal ATK SPD by 12%. Additionally, Normal and Charged Attacks hit on enemies have a 50% chance to trigger a vacuum blade that deals 40/55/70/85/100% of ATK as DMG in a small area.
Dragonspine Spear
(Picture: MiHoYo)
Next up is the Dragonspine Spear, a weapon that can be crafted in the Dragonspine region, being one of the best options for someone like Rosaria due to its capabilities.
This weapon allows that after hitting an opponent with Normal and Charged Attacks, you will have a 60/70/80/90/100% chance of forming and dropping an Everfrost Icicle above them, dealing 80/95/110/125/140% ATK DMG in an area around you.
Also, opponents affected by Cryo are dealt 200/240/280/320/360% ATK DMG, which perfectly matches Rosaria's abilities.
Crescent Pike

Finally, we have a more accessible option that can be obtained through the gacha, being the Crescent Pike.
This polearm allows each time you pick up an Elemental Orb/Particle, your Normal and Charged Attacks will deal an additional 25% ATK DMG for five seconds.
Best artifacts for Rosaria
Gladiator’s Finale
As the main choice for your artifact set, we recommend the Gladiator’s Finale, a powerful set that substantially increases your damage capabilities.
By having two pieces from this set, your ATK percentage will be increased by 18%, while with four pieces, her Normal Attack DMG will be increased by 35%, as Rosaria is a Polearm wielder.
Bloodstained Chivalry
(Picture: MiHoYo)
The Gladiator’s Finale set can be complemented or replaced with Bloodstained Chivalry, being artifacts that increase physical damage and boost your attacks.
By having two pieces from this set, your Physical DMG percentage will be increased by 25%, while with four pieces, every time you defeat an opponent, it will increase your Charged Attack DMG by 50%, and reduces its Stamina cost to 0 for 10 seconds.
Blizzard Strayer
(Picture: MiHoYo)
To close, and being an option that will accord to her Cryo element, there is no better alternative than the Blizzard Strayer set, which explosively increases the amount of damage that Rosaria can do with her abilities.
With two pieces from this set equipped, you will receive a Cryo DMG Bonus of 15%, while with four artifacts, whenever Rosaria attacks an enemy affected by Cryo, her CRIT Rate will be increased by 20%. If the enemy is Frozen, this increase will be doubled.

Recommended team composition
To get the most out of her, we recommend using Rosaria together with:
-
Fischl (Electro): Thanks to Rosaria's Cryo area damage, you can take full advantage of the superconducting elemental combinations that this archer and her raven can offer.
-
Kaeya (Cryo): With the sister's increased Cryo elemental damage, Kaeya's swift and untimely attacks can provide a lot of DPS in combat.
-
As a last unit, you can complement with a Hydro-type character to take advantage of near-permanent freeze effects, such as Xingqiu, Tartaglia and Mona.
