Exploration is one of Genshin Impact's biggest draws with several regions open in the world for players to explore. Like with the introduction of the Inazuma region in the 2.0 update, a new region brings new events, quests and Domains that players can look forward to.
Following weeks of leaks surrounding the inclusion of the Enkanomiya region in the 2.4 update, new leaks have surfaced of a possible chest type that will be exclusive to this region. According to various sources, these chests will reward players with Mora that could come in handy for levelling up characters, shop purchases and more.
New region-exclusive chest type coming to Enkanomiya
First reported by Genshin Impact source, Genshin Blank, the next type of chest players could expect to see throughout Enkanomiya is called the ‘Junk’ chest. So far, there are four chests currently available across Teyvat, namely Common, Exquisite, Precious and Luxurious chests.
Even though there are no IKEA chests in Enkanomiy, you will be able to find a new type of chest: "Junk" Chest

These chests can be found throughout Enkanomiya.
Upon opening this chest you will be rewarded with either 10k or 15k mora.

The Junk chest can only be found in the Enkanomiya region as opening this chest will grant players between 10,000 and 15,000 Mora. Furthermore, Genshin Blank has stated that this type of chest will likely be “a part of the map” as there will be Investigation spots for players to find and collect random items.
According to another Genshin Impact source, 46cba, these Junk chests won’t spawn in traditional or common chest locations nor will players be “baited by them from afar”. They have mentioned that there have been 82 Junk chests that were added to the Enkanomiya map.
Furthermore, they had tallied 206 chests present in the region, that includes the rumoured Junk chests. While it’s still too early to say whether these figures are the official number of chests found on Enkanomiya alone, it’s more than likely that more could be added before the 2.4 update launches.
The reveal around the leaked Junk chests further adds excitement for the Enkanomiya region which has yet to be made available on the test servers. With the official confirmation of Shenhe and Yun Jin coming soon to Genshin Impact, there is plenty to look forward to in the next update.
