Original story continues.
Genshin Impact's 2.6 Special Program livestream unveiled a brand new weapon, the Haran Geppaku Futsu, which Travelers can start working towards obtaining. This 5-star sword has a great legacy founded in Inazuma, forged by a dynasty of great blacksmiths from the region.
Additionally, the developer HoYoverse has detailed how you can get this weapon in the 2.6 update. So, here's everything we know about Haran Geppaku Futsu, including how to get it, its stats and abilities, ascension materials and loads more.
What is Haran Geppaku Futsu in Genshin Impact?
According to the 2.6 Preview Page, the Haran Geppaku Futsu is "famed" for being crafted "by the Futsu line of smiths". Additionally, "the name 'Haran' comes from the manner in which it resembles the violent, roiling waves".
While HoYoverse has yet to detail more about the lore behind the weapon, what is confirmed is that its origins trace to the Inazuma region and is the signature weapon for the Head of the Kamisato Clan, Ayato.
What are Haran Geppaku Futsu's weapon stats and abilities?
- Rarity: 5-star
- ATK Stat: 46 - 608
- Secondary Stat: 7.2 - 33.1% CRIT Rate
The Haran Geppaku Futsu is a worthy inclusion for main or sub DPS builds as it comes equipped with excellent passive ability. Once the weapon is equipped, its passive ability, Honed Flow, allows the character to gain an Elemental DMG Bonus of 12%.
Whenever they're around other party members that utilise Elemental Skills, the character wielding the Haran Geppaku Futsu will obtain a Wavespike stack. However, the character can only have a maximum of two stacks at a time, which can be activated every 0.3 seconds.
Furthermore, when using an Elemental Skill, the character will burn through their Wavespike stacks to gain the Rippling Upheaval effect. This effect will consume every Wavespike stack gained to boost the character's Normal Attack DMG by 20% for at least eight seconds.

Travelers looking to produce a well-rounded Ayato build must consider including this weapon in the picture. Unfortunately, there aren't many Hydro sword users in-game; other than Xingqiu, so it's best to start working to acquire enough Mora and ascension materials to unlock the weapon's potential.
