Genshin Impact's 3.1 update has a plethora of events awaiting Travelers when returning to the world of Teyvat. These events feature mini-games, new Spiral Abyss challenges, and reruns of events that are popular in the community.
As we preview the events arriving in Phase 1 of the 3.1 update, we'll exclude the Character Event Wish and Epitome Invocation banners. Here's a brief overview of the events and rewards featured in Phase I of the Genshin Impact 3.0 update.
Genshin Impact 3.1 Phase I Events – Of Ballads and Brews
The 3.1 update's flagship event, Of Ballads and Brews, sees Travelers returning to Mondstadt in time for the seasonal festival, Weinlesefest. As previously discussed, this festival revolves around wine-making in which the Anemo Archon, Barbatos, now possessing the vessel of the fun-loving bard, Venti, gets to sample the wines.

Should the wines be of his appeasement, he'll send a wisp of wind through Mondstadt to express his delight and gratitude. This festival is split into four mini-events in which they can participate to celebrate the season.
- Autumn Crisis: Assist hunters with the invasion of Forest Boars in Mondstadt and a Sumeru researcher locating clues regarding the Snowboars.
- Highwind Trial: Using Sublime Anemograna, defeat enemies across various stages, each possessing unique characteristics and combat mechanics.
- Charity and Creativity: Stepping into the position of a shopkeeper, they must effectively run a store by selling products and generating enough profit.
- Fecund Blessings: Explore Mondstadt to seek out a particular type of Treasure Chests, Fecund Hampers, using clues hidden within messages to claim the blessings, decorations, and other gifts.
The event begins on 29th September 2022 at 10 am (UTC +8) and will end its run on 17th October 2022 at 3:59 am (UTC +8). They'll need to hold an Adventure Rank of 21 and higher to be allowed to complete and need to have finished the following quest prerequisites:
- Archon Quest "Prologue: Act III - Song of the Dragon and Freedom"
- Story Quest "Lupus Minor Chapter: Act I - The Meaning of Lupical" (Razor's Story Quest)
Completing this event will reward them with Primogems, Mora, Crown of Insight, Mystic enhancement Ores, and more. The event will also award the 4-star polearm, Missive Windspear, and its refinement materials, the Plume of the Changing Winds.
Genshin Impact 3.1 Phase I Events – Hyakunin Ikki
This combat-drive challenge returns to Genshin Impact for the third time in the 3.1 update, whereby characters will be split into two teams featuring six characters. Engaging in a free-for-all fighting tournament, they'll need to defeat their opponents facing them in tag teams.
Each team will be allowed two Garyuu Arts, which can be used to aid them in defeating their opponents. Additionally, they can gain Fervor, which stacks every time they beat their opponents, or switch out teams that grant them bonuses.
They'll accumulate points if they're successfully defeating them within the allocated timeframe, and once the challenge ends, they'll receive insignias based on the points earned. They can obtain rewards such ass Primogems, Mora, Mystic Enhancement Ores, and more from this event.
The event will run from 10th October 2022 at 10 am (UTC +8), and 24th October 2022 at 3:59 am, which they must meet specific event requirements to be eligible for this event, including having an Adventure Rank of 30 and higher. Lastly, they must have completed the "Ritou Escape Plan," the third part of the Archon Quest Chapter II: Act I - The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia.
Genshin Impact 3.1 Phase I Events – Curtain of Leaves
A new Spiral Abyss challenge will arrive in the aforementioned Genshin Impact update, becoming a permanent feature. Travelers are only required to complete the challenge needed for this event before the event page closes to receive the event reward.

This challenge event will be available from 28th September 2022 following the launch of the 3.1 update; they'll need an Adventure Rank of 20 and higher to access the challenge. If Travelers missed out on the Graven Innocence event from the 3.0 update, this event would award them with the 4-star Dendor bow user, Collei.
The Genshin Impact 3.1 update, "King Deshret and the Three Magi," will release for PlayStation consoles, mobile devices, and PC via the Epic Games Store on 28th September 2022.
