Genshin Impact 2.7 - Release date, leaks, and more

Genshin Impact 2.6 update added brand new area called The Chasm where the next part of the story i.e. the Archon Quest Chapter II: Act IV "Requiem of the Echoing Depths" takes place. However, a lot of fans have already completed it and are now desperately waiting for the next update to release.

Genshin Impact 2.7 update will bring new characters, weapons, quests, and more just like the previous patches released. In addition to this, its beta testing has also started where players test out the upcoming content before its release.

Here are the complete details of the Genshin Impact 2.7 update including its release date and the leaks available at the moment.

Genshin Impact 2.7 release date

Genshin Impact 2.7 update was initially expected to release on May 11 however the rumors of it getting delayed proved to be true as HoYoverse confirmed them officially. 

"Due to project progress, the Version 2.7 update will be postponed. For detailed information on the date of the new update, content adjustment plan, and compensation, please stay tuned for upcoming announcements." HoYoverse announced.

HoYoverse recently shared the schedule of upcoming events in Genshin Impact 2.6 Phase III confirming that the update is delayed beyond May 19 as most of the events are ending on this date. 

In order to compensate players, HoYoverse will be giving Primogem x400, Fragile Resin x1, Hero's Wit x7, Mystic Enhancement Ore x16, and Mora x 120,000 weekly. Also, if the period between the 2.7 Version update and the previous weekly compensation for delayed update is less than a week, the final weekly compensation will be adjusted accordingly.

Genshin Impact 2.7 leaks

The upcoming update will bring two playable characters to the game as HoYoverse has already announced the debut of Yelan and Kuki Shinobu on Genshin Impact's official Twitter handles. 

Yelan is a five-star character and her glimpse was seen during the first fight of Traveler and Ruin Serpent. HoYoverse describes her as a mysterious person who claims to work for the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

Kuki Shinobu is the Deputy Leader of the Arataki Gang and is surprisingly a four-star character yielding the electro element.

In addition to this, a new weapon called Fading Twilight has also been leaked by the dataminers. It is a four-star bow that can boost the damage and help in faster energy recharge.
