Genshin Impact’s 2.6 update will see the highly anticipated arrival of a new location in the Liyue region, The Chasm. This area features a unique level design comprising two sections, The Surface and Underground Mines for Travelers to explore.

Genshin Impact -The Chasm Gameplay and Mechanics
When exploring The Chasm, Travelers can find plenty of cranes that allow you to access multiple levels, including the Underground Mines. Additionally, there are unique rocks called Spoutrocks that grant you a temporary jumping boost to access hard-to-reach areas.

Nevertheless, other rocks in this area contain highly pressurised air that Travelers can release at a given time. While they also give you a slight jumping boost, you should be cautious when walking over or near these rocks.
Another new mechanic you can find at the Chasm, Bedrock Keys, were first installed by the Liyue Qixing before the mine’s closure. Travelers can destroy these keys intended to eliminate magic within the area if you want to set foot in The Chasm.
Once inside the Chasm, there are uniquely shaped rock formations near the Bedrock Keys. Together with the Bedrock Keys, these formations are intended to seal The Chasm’s entrance, but should you attempt to destroy them, they will counter your attacks using crystals.

They can be of an advantage to Travelers as their firing direction could be used in destroying Bedrock Keys. Depending on the direction from which Travelers hit them, these crystals have an exciting effect on Bedrock Keys worth investigating.
Another unique rock formation you can find is pretty large boulders that, when hit, activates a sudden eruption or “resonant quake” with other rocks in the vicinity. These resonances could be used to solve puzzles by paying particular attention to your environment and locating other rocks and formations nearby.
These rocks and formations possess an insignia related to resonances found in the area. As they can be located nearby large boulders, look out for the insignias as it could indicate how many resonances it can receive.
Lastly, treasure chests scattered throughout The Chasm contain unique and possibly rare loot inside. To find clues to where they can be found, activating various mechanics through The Chasm will glimmering pyramids that will hint at the location of a nearby treasure chest.
