Genshin Impact’s gruelling Spiral Abyss domain is the greatest test of endurance for Travelers as they navigate across multiple floors, fighting off waves of enemies for great rewards. As they’ll be clearing enemies within a limited time, Travelers will need to bring their best-composed teams while trying to keep them alive for an extended period.
Multiple sources have teased incoming changes for the special domain in the forthcoming update. If the information provided is credible, these changes are rumoured to support previous leaks of characters joining the Genshin Impact 2.6 update.
New Spiral Abyss enemy line-up
Reliable Genshin Impact source, UBatcha, leaked information regarding line-up changes to specific floors within the Spiral Abyss in the 2.6 update. These changes include familiar enemies receiving a rerun in the domain, which will affect floors 11 and 12 across the three chambers, respectively.

Ley Line Disorder tweaks
Another reliable Genshin Impact source, Save Your Primos, suggests that the changes to the Ley Line Disorder could see character reruns in the 2.6 update featuring either Venti or Kazuha, even both. On Floor 11, the Ley Line flow will see party members receive a 75% Anemo DMG boost, while Floor 12’s Ley Line flow remains the same.
New Spiral Abyss buffs leaked
Various Genshin Impact sources, including Genshin Intel and UBatcha, detailed the Spiral Abyss changes in the 2.6 update. According to Genshin Intel, one of the more notable changes is that Travelers will receive new buffs in three phases.
2.6 Spiral Abyss phase 1: Normal Attack hits afflict the enemy with a debuff that expires after 10s, dealing True DMG at the time of expiry. Normal Attack hits on an enemy affected by the debuff further increases the damage from the debuff's removal. Such increase stacks 9 times. pic.twitter.com/xeYMk91eiQ

Those who frequent the domain knows that the domain resets twice during the current update; however, it appears that there will be three resets for each buff in the next update.
The first buff is centred on normal attacks and will deal “true DMG” off on a debuff created from normal attacks to enemies.
This effect will increase the normal attack DMG as long as Characters continue charging at the enemies with their normal attacks. Furthermore, this will stack nine times, significantly benefiting characters that utilise normal attacks.
2.6 Spiral Abyss phase 2: After a character's Normal Attacks hit opponents, the DMG dealt by this character's Normal Attacks will increase by 12% for 5s. This effect can stack up to 5 times. Each stack is calculated independently. This effect can be triggered once every 0.1s. pic.twitter.com/Uzlxefnhmg

The second Spiral Abyss buff is pretty straightforward. When enemies are struck with a normal attack, the DMG dealt gets increased by 12% for at least five seconds. Travelers can stack this buff a maximum of five times, and since the effect is measured individually, they can receive at least 60% normal attack DMG.
The final buff will come in handy for those who utilise Elemental Burst as normal attacks, reducing enemy Elemental Resistance by 6% for six seconds. Characters can use their normal attacks to inflict DMG to enemies before using their Elemental Burst for maximum damage.
Based on what we know, a handful of characters heavily depend on normal attacks, including Diluc, Klee, Eula, Razor and Yomiya, to name. The latter is rumoured to arrive alongside Kamisato Ayato, teased as using scaling based on normal attacks.
While Ayato will likely be featured in Phase 1 of the Character Event Wish banners in the next update, Yomiya was recently rumoured to be gaining a banner rerun in Phase II.
This rumour also lines up with leaks hinting at the inclusion of an Inazuman Festival featuring all playable characters from the region, including Ayato and Yomiya.
With these buffs in mind, Travelers should be able to build their party around characters that rely on normal attacks to help them clear Spiral Abyss floors in no time.
Nevertheless, the information supplied from these sources is subject to change ahead of the 2.6 update as we’ll continue to follow this story for more updates.
