Genshin Impact 3.8 update is coming closer to its release, and with that, the devs are back with the announcement of some of the most demanded features and optimizations for the game. These include multi-layered maps, game optimization, better quest tracking, and more.
While not all of the features will be available in the 3.8 patch, most of them will be pushed out with it, and the others will be released in Genshin Impact 4.0 update. Here is everything you need to know about Genshin Impact's latest developer update.
Genshin Impact 3.8 & 4.0 Dev Notes
You can find the details of everything announced in the latest Genshin Impact developer update below.
Multi-Layered Map
In Version 4.0, Travelers will be able to explore underground regions and use the Map to switch between different layers of the terrain. This will help them navigate more easily and discover new areas.
Quest Tracking Optimization
Starting from Genshin Impact 3.8 update, Travelers will be able to click Navigate on the Quest menu to open the Map and orient themselves when the objective is far away. They will also be able to automatically track their next Commission Quest after completing the current one based on the distance and several other factors.
Along with this, they will also get an option to "Review Invitation" after finishing Hangout Events to view the narrative checkpoints.
Quest Menu Display Optimization
In Version 3.8, the Quest menu will display red dots more intuitively and conveniently and sort the Archon Quests and other Quests more logically, allowing Travelers to find their objectives faster.
Quest Characters Occupation and Prerequisite Quests Complexity
The developers are aware of the issues that Travelers face when they encounter occupied Quest Characters or have too many prerequisite quests to complete. They are planning to add more detailed redirection guides for the affected quests, separate the unlocking and accepting steps of Story Quests, and optimize the multi-stage nature of prerequisite quests.
