Forza Horizon 5 is currently plagued by several bugs and errors, just like almost every multiplayer game. Players are experiencing a variety of issues from multiplayer errors, game crashing upon loading and, in particular, the convoy multiplayer feature not functioning.
Many have complained that other players are disappearing and reappearing in convoy frequently while others can’t join one. As such, if you’re experiencing issues with the game’s convoy feature in Forza Horizon 5, here’s a list of a few methods for players to try to remedy the issue.
Forza Horizon 5: How to fix the convoy not working issue
If you’re unable to join a convoy or experiencing irregular issues within a convoy, the developers are aware of the issue. The official Forza Support Twitter account posted an update for players to keep tabs on all known issues identified and patch notes available for the game.

Some players on Reddit have suggested inviting your friends to an event, completing it before returning to the free roam session as a convoy. Another suggestion is to go to Horizon Solo, create a convoy and invite your friends to the convoy.
If neither works, here's, the Forza Support team have outlined a few workarounds to help resolve any multiplayer connection issues.
Check Xbox App for network issues
On PC, players will need to check if their PC is currently up-to-date with the latest Windows 10 software. Once this is done, head over to the Xbox PC app and locate the Settings.
Players will click the Network tab and allow it to run as it will check for any network problems. Once done, players can view their Xbox Multiplayer NAT details such as type and server connectivity.
If a problem has been identified, players will need to click the “More information” highlighted link to be directed for more assistance and troubleshooting advice
Check the Xbox Live server connection
As players are unable to join or host a convoy in Forza Horizon 5, the issue may be possibly linked to the Xbox Live service. To check if this is the issue, go to Settings and click the Gaming tab. Find the Xbox Network tab and select the server connectivity option.
If the server connectivity is blocked, it means that your PC cannot establish a Teredo IPsec connection to the server. However, if players receive the “Teredo is unable to qualify” message beside the NAT type option, players will need to visit the Xbox Teredo support page for more information.
Reconnect your Ethernet device
If your Ethernet is giving players options, the best option to resolve the matter is by disconnecting from your ethernet device. Players will next restart your PC or console before reconnecting to your Ethernet device.
Run an Xbox multiplayer test
Running a multiplayer test can help players identify any related issues that may be affecting the ability to join or create a convoy. As such, players will need to go to their console settings via the guide, select All Settings and then select the Network option.
Players will now choose the Network settings option, which will bring up any identified network issues on screen. To the right side of the Network settings option, look for Test multiplayer connection and let it run.
If any multiplayer issues are picked up, players will need to follow the prompts to resolve the matter. If the connection test was unsuccessful, players will need to visit the Xbox Multiplayer Connection Troubleshooter support page for more information.
If none of these methods has worked, do submit a ticket with the Forza Support team to report the issue.
