Fortnite Candy: How To Find And Throw From Vehicles

Throwing candy from a vehicle is one of the many challenges that players can complete in Fortnite's yearly Halloween-themed Fortnitemares event. This challenge may seem relatively simple, but it can be pretty tricky to get right.

So, this guide will walk you through how to find and throw candy from any of the Vehicles in Fortnite and help you claim the reward for completing this Fortnitemares challenge. 

How to Get Fortnite Candy

In Fortnite, you must first locate some of those sweet treats before you can throw candy from a moving vehicle, but fortunately, there are many ways to do this. The first is by scouring the map for candy in the various chests or loot-able containers littered all over the island. 

You can also go to any house and ring the doorbell until it breaks, which will give you some candy as a reward. Many homes on the island also have buckets of treats hidden in their decorations that you can look for, which will give you some candy when destroyed.  

During this Halloween event, many Fortnite characters have also started selling candy; if you see one nearby, they can also assist you in exchange for some Bars. Although there are numerous treats you can use for this quest, it should be noted that the Zero Point Pretzel does not count as candy and can't be used.

How to Throw Candy From Vehicles in Fortnite

Now that you've got some candy in your possession, you can move on to throwing it from a moving vehicle in Fortnite. Depending on whether you're playing alone or with friends, there are two different methods for doing this.

If you're playing with friends, you can ask one of them to take the wheel while you sit in the passenger seat and throw your candy without being bothered by anything else. If you're playing alone, you'll need to switch from the driver to the passenger seat by pressing the left Ctrl key, then hold the Aim trigger to pop yourself out of a window and press the Throw trigger to launch the candy. 

If you don't have three candies to throw, you can do this while the car is stopped, then get out of the car and gather them before repeating the process to use the same ones again. After throwing candy from a vehicle in Fortnite three times in total, the quest will be complete, and you'll be rewarded with 15,000 XP for your Battle Pass, as well as bonus quest progression toward unlocking cosmetic items from the Living Metal Set.
