Fortnite fans, are you ready for an exciting new collaboration? Rumors are swirling that Fortnite is teaming up with rising Australian rapper, The Kid Laroi, for what is shaping up to be one of the most highly-anticipated collaborations yet. According to a leak earlier this month, the "Stay" rapper will be headlining the Fortnite x The Kid Laroi concert, with an Icon Series skin set to release early this week.
As reported by notable Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey on 21 January 2023, "There will be an upcoming Duos Kid Laroi Cup on January 24th." But the collaboration doesn't stop there. Fortnite players can get their hands on exclusive skins based on The Kid Laroi, as well as Backblings, emotes, and other in-game items. This news was first spotted by leaker RealGrasshalm2 on Twitter.
Specifically, the Fortnite x The Kid Laroi collaboration will supposedly feature two skins: "The Kid Laroi" and "The Rogue Laroi," each purchasable via the Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks each (roughly $15 in real-world value). iFireMonkey also noted that Fortnite players could snag the "Get My Bag" and "Tragic Blade" Backblings, which will presumably feature as part of a The Kid Laroi bundle.
There is also the "LAROI's Smile" Emoji and "LAROI" Banner, which Fortnite players can earn by achieving 8 Points in the Duos Cup. Furthermore, the bundle will include the dance to The Kid LAROI’s song, “Stay,” featuring Justin Bieber, a must-have for any true Kid Laroi fan wanting to show off their moves on the Fortnite dance floor.
It's worth noting that this isn't the first time Fortnite has partnered up with an international music artist. Previous Fortnite collaborations have included major icons such as Travis Scott, J Balvin, and Marshmello. The Kid Laroi is one of the hottest young talents in the music industry right now, with his hit songs "F*ck Love" and "Mood" skyrocketing up the charts. His unique blend of emotive lyrics and catchy beats is sure to resonate with Fortnite players of all ages.
