Sgt Winter Location: Fortnite Winterfest 2023

Winterfest is back, and so are some familiar faces. While the Winterfest Cabin might not be in Fortnite this year, Sgt Winter can still be found across the battle royale map. In previous years, Sgt Winter could be found driving his truck around the island via its roads, but things are a little different this time.

So, where can you find Sgt Winter in Winterfest 2023? Here's everything you need to know.

Where To Find Sgt Winter In Fortnite Winterfest 2023

This year, Sgt Winter can be found in one specific place on the map — a little island called Winterberg. 

To find Winterberg, you'll need to set your sights on the very northern point of the map, in the snowy biome. Look for a little island directly to the northeast of Cloistered Castle. Sgt Winter will be roaming around here. 

Interestingly, you can't really interact with Sgt Winter while he's roaming around, but he will throw down some of his giant presents. Hit them with your Pickaxe to break them down and you might be treated to some useful items inside. 

Be careful if you get into any firefights with opposing players while you're in Sgt Winter's vicinity. If a stray bullet hits him, he'll turn hostile and attack whoever was responsible. 

What Can You Do At Winterberg In Fortnite?

Aside from housing Sgt Winter, there's not a huge amount to accomplish at Winterberg. It's main use is that its a great place to find Presents. You'll be able to distinguish the openable presents from the standard decorations by listening to the sounds — they have asimilar sound effect to Chests. Get near them and press the interact button to open them up. You'll typically be given an Epic tier weapon if you're lucky, along with some ammo and healing or shield items.
