Fortnite OG Rumored to Roll Out as Separate Mode

Fortnite's successful OG mode is making a comeback, but as a separate mode according to new rumors.
Fortnite OG Rumored to Roll Out as Separate Mode

Fortnite's popular OG chapter, which saw the return of classic Fortnite POIs, weapons and more, is set to make a return with the upcoming Chapter 2: Remix. However, this iteration focuses on the original Chapter 2 and some of its classic features such as Misty Meadows and Boogie Bombs.

But it was the first Fortnite OG that brought the crowds, letting players return to the lands of Retail Row, Lazy Links and, of course, Tilted Towers. But it was a fleeting experience, and fans have been anxiously awaiting the return of Fortnite OG's Chapter 1. And it seems Epic Games might be considering it as an option.

Is Fortnite OG Coming Back?

Known Fortnite leakers Shiina and HYPEX have posted that Chapter 1 OG is set to return next month, but as a separate mode to the upcoming Chapter 2: Remix. According to the leakers, the following is set to return:

  • All Chapter 1 Seasons (S1-S10) returning monthly
  • OG Loot Pool
  • Build and Zero Build

The announcement is expected to arrive at The Game Awards, though Epic Games have yet to make any official hints of the mode's return. The information comes via an "anonymous source" that both HYPEX and Shiina have verified.

Fortnite has a variety of modes to choose from these days, from Fortnite Festival to LEGO Fortnite, making it a place for players to get truly anything they want out of. The worry, however, might be that it spreads the playerbase too thin — but there will always be players in the main Battle Royale mode. But how much longevity the full Chapter 1 OG season will have remains to be seen.
