After its introduction back in Season X, the Junk Rift has been vaulted for some before returning in Chapter 3 Season 3. The item is very popular among battle royale players as it can truly flip a game on its head with the ability to take out many enemies at once.

When deployed, the Junk Rift drops a large random item from above that destroys and deals damage to everything in its path. Of course, Fortnite players have the urge to test the boundaries of items, and the Junk Rift is no exception. Just recently, the popular content creator Nick Eh 30 ran a test to see if the Junk Rift could eliminate 100 players at once.

While they were unvaulted for Chapter 3 Season 3, Junk Rifts do not spawn at an exact location each game. Rather, they can be found as special loot in chests and drops.

For the best results hunting for a Junk Rift, head to one of these three locations (high-teir loot areas)

• Coney Crossroads
• The Daily Bugle
• Tilted Towers
