The newest addition to Fortnite might just be horror icon Jason Voorhees, a new X/Twitter account suggests. The new official Friday the 13th account, called 'Jason Universe' (@JasonUniverse13'), is currently following only the official Fortnite account.
This interaction could very well suggest that Jason Voorhees is coming to Fortnite - or, that the two franchises at least could have a collaboration in the works, like a Creative map.
Now would be a fitting time for Voorhees to join the ranks of Fortnite, as Friday the 13th is becoming a franchise universe - thus, the "Jason Universe" name - and is also getting a prequel TV series called Crystal Lake (Peacock & A24).
Voorhees wouldn't be the first famous face from horror to join Fortnite as a playable character. The game already features Halloween's Michael Myers as a playable and purchasable character, as well as The Xenomorph from the Alien franchise (who are both also coincidentally available in Dead by Daylight).
While it's not confirmed that Jason Voorhees is joining Fortnite, it's looking more and more likely based on the announcements surrounding Jason Universe and the fact that the franchise's official X/Twitter account is exclusively following Fortnite. For now, fans will have to wait for more information and official updates from Epic Games/Jason Universe to confirm if the two franchises are in fact in collaboration.
