There were a lot of announcements from the recent Disney Horizons Live from D23, including a wave of new Fortnite announcements. Earlier this year, Disney announced a new collaboration with Epic Games that aims to build a new games and entertainment universe. Fans were quick to speculate that this would lead to a whole host of new crossovers within Fortnite.

One particular leak, reported by known Fortnite leakers Shiina and SpushFNBR, claims that a Kingdom Hearts crossover is in the works.

This isn't the first time we've seen Kingdom Hearts x Fortnite rumors fly around. Previously, it was thought that Sora and co. would arrive earlier this year, though it turned out to be the franchise's addition to the Epic Games Store.

But, adding Sora to Fortnite wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility. Sora was made available as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, being cemented as the final DLC character to join the roster. Fortnite also has a line of skins that's continuously being added to based on Gaming icons. We've seen the likes of Geralt of Rivia, Leon S. Kennedy, and Arcane's Jinx. I think Sora is just as ready to enter the fray.

However, Disney didn't announce a Kingdom Hearts x Fortnite crossover during the livestream. They did reveal a number of crossovers on the way, including one with Disney Villains. The likes of Maleficent, Cruella de Vil and Captain Hook are set to arrive in Fortnite this Fall. The same will happen for a few Pixar characters, such as The Incredibles.

But, just because Sora and friends haven't been announced so far doesn't mean they're not still on the way. Leakers seem pretty convinced that we'll be getting a Kingdom Hearts crossover at some point, it's just a matter of when.
