How To Challenge A Character To A Duel And Defeat Them In Fortnite

Week 13 brings a new set of quests to Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 and most of them are fairly straightforward. But some like challenging a character to a duel and defeating them can be confusing if you haven't taken on that kind of task in the Battle Royale.

When you look at any challenge in Fortnite, you can see the marker location at the very least, but it won't paint the full picture. This guide is here to outline exactly where to find some specific characters that will duel you and how to initiate the challenge itself.

Fortnite - Challenge a Character to a Duel and Defeat Them

Dueling as a feature has been in Fortnite for more than a few seasons now. The feature allows players to challenge an NPC for some guaranteed rewards as long as victory is achieved. They usually guarantee some Epic rarity weapons and healing like full potions or Chug Splashes. 

There are currently three NPCs or characters that you can find on the Fortnite map to challenge a character to a duel and defeat them effectively. One of the easiest characters to take on is Sabina, who is located in the northern part of the map. She can be found in the house just below the Darth Vader landing pad that has a maze on the property. It's out of the way and more discreet.

Another location you can try is Risky Reels where you'll find Mancake walking around the desert-themed POI. Risky Reels is typically a hot drop and encourages some swift rotations from other players, so take this path at your own risk.

The last character that you can approach for the duel challenge is Panther. This NPC can be found near Sanctuary in the southeast section of the map. When you look for Panther, search south of Sanctuary between Shuffled Shrines. You'll find Panther pacing back and forth waiting around.

When you find any of these three characters, all you need to do is interact with them. They will drop an item like any other NPC, but they will typically only have one option on their wheel. Either you duel them or you move on with the Fortnite match.

For this Chapter 3 Season 3 challenge, we obviously want to take the duel challenge. As soon as you accept, you'll be pushed backward and there will be about three seconds before the NPC attacks. Take that time to burst as much damage and claim your reward.
