A recent post from the trusted account suggested the popular Bubble Shield item was set to return in Chapter 3 Season 3, or perhaps Season 4. No hard release date was provided in the post, but it's usually a safe bet to trust the word of HYPEX, so pencil in the Bubble Shield for Season 3 or 4.
The Bubble Shield item was updated in the previous update, it can now be properly damaged and destroyed from inside the bubble, and they're working on a challenge for it.

Damage Bubble Shield From Inside - Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3
The tweet from HYPEX also suggests the Bubble Shield will return with a tweak from its last appearance in Chapter 2 Season 1. This time around, players will be able to damage and destroy the item from inside the bubble.
It's also worth noting that HYPEX believes a specific challenge will be in-tow for the re-release of the Bubble Shield. This certainly makes sense, as many times the game developers like to link up a challenge with the freshly released content, to push players towards testing it out.
