With a $250,000 prize pool up for grabs, 33 teams of trios are set to battle it out on the Fortnite island. Gonna Need Milk is set to host The Milk Cup at Los Angeles Comic Con this October, marking the first-ever all-women's Fortnite LAN in history.
33 teams of trios means 99 women will be competing in total. Over 300 women competed in the three qualifiers, amassing over 2.5 million views across the duration and becoming one of the most-wated women's esports tournaments of the year.
The Milk Cup has been developed in collaboration with women gamers, and in partnership with Fortnite streamer ThePeachCobbler, Women of the eRena (WOTE) and produced by Raidiant’s all-women production team. For the qualified trios, all travel expenses and accomodations have been covered by the organization, in order to ensure no financial barriers hinder the competitors from participating.
The inaugural Finals will be held at Los Angeles Comic Con, on October 5, 2024. The event will take place at 1:00pm, local time. Tickets are available now for The Milk Cup, with special discounted Milk Teen Tickets to L.A. Comic Con available for fans aged 13-17.
"The L.A. Comic Con team is thrilled to play host to The Milk Cup LAN championship,” said L.A. Comic Con VP, Event Director Alli Johnson. “The Milk Cup is an incredible event empowering women gamers to come together, compete, and further their careers.”
The entire event will also be streamed live on Twitch, hosted by Kelly Link with LemonKiwi, and Taco.
