The First Descendant is a free-to-play looter-shooter like Warframe, and much like that game, unlocking new cosmetic items is one of the important parts of the experience.
Thankfully, with the First Descendant open beta now live, you can check out some of the new cosmetic items currently available in the game. Sadly, the game doesn't explicitly mention how to unlock them, and if you're curious to get your hands on some of them, you're in the right place. Here's how to unlock new skins in The First Descendant open beta.
How to Get New Skins in The First Descendant Open Beta
You can unlock new skins in The First Descendant open beta by purchasing them with Caliber in the event shop. If you didn't know, Caliber is the in-game currency used to purchase all cosmetic items in the game.
In the open beta, you can get Caliber from daily login rewards and by completing quests and game events. You can use Caliber to purchase all three types of skins in The First Descendant open beta. This includes Descendant skins, Descendant full-body skins, and weapon skins. You can also use it to purchase new weapons and Descendants skin paints.
It's also important to add that all the purchases you make during open beta will be deleted once the beta ends. As such, there's no point in holding onto those Caliber, and you should feel free to spend it on all cosmetic items during the beta.
