Final Fantasy XIV remains as one of the most popular MMORPGs on the market, with players regularly finding themselves in, albeit very short, queues to access the more popular servers/Data Centers. With the rollout of the latest expansion, Dawntrail, these queue times are expected to skyrocket.
Luckily, there are ways to help minimize the wait times a little bit by taking note of when FFXIV is typically at its busiest.
What Are The Busiest Times To Play Final Fantasy XIV?
Peak congestion times will vary depending on which server/Data Center you're playing on. Below are the busiest times for each Data Center:
North America
- From 13:00 PT/16:00 ET to 23:00 PT/02:00 ET
Europe
- From 7:00 GMT/8:00 BST to 13:00 GMT/14:00 BST
Japan
- From 16:00 JST to 00:00 JST
Oceania
- From 17:00 AEST to 23:00 AEST
With Dawntrail early access beginning on June 28, 2024 and the full release rolling out on 2 July, 2024, expect higher levels of congestion around these times and outside of these times too. Director Yoshi-P has revealed that measures have been put in place to ensure we don't end up with an Endwalker-type situation, but that queues are very much still likely.
